What is Vegan Cheese?

crazy-talk, some say.

what is vegan cheese?

It’s one of the most loved foods, but what really is it?

cheese is a science, an art, a process, and an experience; we just happen to use plant-based ingredients.

we aim to make vegan cheeses as close to, if not better than, their dairy counterparts.

nuts are incredible

Cashews, almonds, coconuts - nuts can transform and disguise themselves as all kinds of things. They become creamy and luscious in texture, and respond well to the flavors and processes that recreate favorite dairy staples.

Our cheeses are nut-based, high in protein, contain zero cholesterol, and are perfect for those with lactose-intolerance.

cheese innovation

Our plant-based cheeses undergo much of the same process as dairy; we brine, ripen, age, and culture our cheeses to produce the complex, distinct experience of “traditional” cheese. Our cheeses are tended around the clock to ensure they mature perfectly.

We’ve spent hundreds of hours in research & development to perfect our recipes. We’ve even created some totally original cheeses and cheese hybrids!

aged

Born in our cheese cave after several months of tending, our aged cheeses are veiny with a true rind. Funky blue, our tangy cheddar-brie hybrid, and our creamy brie.

grate it. melt it. slice it. spread it. snack on it.

Enjoy our cheeses in all the ways you can think of.
