Founder's Circle
Most nights I work out at 8 or 9pm. Not because I love late workouts. It’s the only time I can get there.
The gym is my therapy, and I make a point of going no matter how the day went.
But what keeps me paying for that membership isn’t the equipment. It’s that the place feels like mine. Member events, people who know my name, small perks that add up. I pay for a membership and what I get back is a community.
I’ve been thinking about that a lot, because we’re building our first membership program at Rebel Cheese.
Community is how we built this company. When we had our shop in Austin, my favorite part was the counter. Customers told us what they loved, what fell flat, what we should make next. We’ve been trying to rebuild that ever since.
The Master Classes are one piece. In-person events are next. We teamed up with our friends at Crossroads in LA for a wine and cheese night. It sold out. They added a second night, and that one sold out too. People kept asking when the next one would be.
That night gave me the other thing I love about this work: time with other plant-based businesses, learning from them, growing together. We all rise when we lift each other up.
We know a subscription is a commitment. Beyond the community, we want it to be something you enjoy on its own. We have some ideas: free birthday boxes, discounts in our store, and being first to try new releases and tell us what you think before anyone else.
But those are our ideas. I want yours. What would make a Rebel Cheese membership worth it to you? Hit reply to the email or submit this form and tell me. I read every response.
This is our first time building something like this, and I’d rather build it with you than for you. That’s how we’ve done everything else.
Here’s to building this together,
Kirsten
